Feature Story: Your 2006/2007 Council: New and Familiar Faces
Beyond Numbers · September 2006

Editor: As you may remember, an influx of members joined the Institute’s Council last year, prompting us to break with tradition and profile each Council member in the August 2005 issue of Beyond Numbers. This year, two more members—John Crawford, CA, and James Topham, CA—joined Council, as existing members Amed Naqvi, FCA (immediate past president), and Dan Little, CA, CFE, stepped down to focus on other commitments. Crawford and Topham are profiled below, as are your two VPs for 2006/07.

John Larsen, CAFirst VP: John Larsen, CA

John became an incorporated partner with the firm PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in March 2003, and is currently a senior partner in the assurance practice in Vancouver, with special expertise in the forest industry. A partner with the Vancouver office since 1976, his many contributions to the firm include serving as leader of the BC forestry practice and as a partner in the firm’s audit & business advisory department.

In addition to teaching professional development in-house, he has also served as a lecturer for the faculty of commerce at the University of BC and for Advanced Management Seminars of New York.
