The Institute's Advisory Services department is pleased to offer the following free advisory services to members:

• Answering questions on ethics, bylaws, rules of professional conduct, and related interpretations
• Guidance on CICA Handbook and other technical matters (please note Advisory Services staff will not give GAAP or GAAS opinions, or prescribe the application of standards)
• Employment and career information
• Discussion on setting up, winding down, or buying and selling a practice
• Information about professional liability insurance
• Statistics about public practice
• Information about confidential counselling services
• Fee resolution service to assist CAs and the public

Stella Leung, CA, (sleung@ica.bc.ca) has been providing assistance and information to members since 2000. In her role as professional standards advisor, Stella also supports a series of member forums and authors the public practice newsletter News & Views.
