CPABC Careers Site
Most of Canada's accounting bodies are unifying, or have unified under the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) banner. CPA is now the largest accounting designation in Canada. In BC, we are working with the provincial government on legislation to merge the three accounting bodies in British Columbia (ICABC, CMABC and CGA-BC) to officially form the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC (CPABC). In anticipation of this event, all three organizations are integrating our operations and services to provide expanded benefits to our members and the public.
Starting 1 April 2014, we are offering a new job posting service on the CPABC website.
The new CPABC Careers Site is a paid service with a host of features to enhance employers' search for qualified candidates. Employers will have the opportunity to reach all of BC’s designated accounting professionals and students and to receive applications from a greater number of qualified candidates. Employers can set up ‘resumé alerts’ and be notified when a resumé matching their ideal candidate profile is activated on the site.
The new CPABC Careers Site gives free exclusive access to members and students looking for new career opportunities with easy to use tools. Applying to jobs online is made simple by allowing members and students to store a resumé online or submit a resumé in other convenient ways. Members and students may also post their resumé on the site for potential employers to review. Job seekers can receive ‘job alerts’ notifying them of postings that meet their job search criteria.
