VANCOUVER—Salmon Arm chartered accountant (CA) student, Shawn Birkenhead (BDO Dunwoody LLP), graduated from the CA School of Business program at a ceremony held May 23, 2009 in Vancouver. Students recognized at the convocation ceremony are eligible for membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC this year.
“Shawn earned his CA designation by successfully completing an unparalleled and rigorous academic program, focused on business and accounting competencies,” said Richard Rees, FCA, CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. “We are very proud of him, and he should be proud to have earned the prestigious CA designation.”
